FOR PARENTS OF GRADE SCHOOL STUDENTS:
Ages 8-9
Ages 8-9 will be on a case-by-case basis. There will be one or possibly two trial lessons and then an evaluation after a week or two of practice to see whether or not the child pays attention during the lesson and practices actively and regularly during the week.
Lesson Book
The Lesson Book for Ages 8-9 is the “Bastien New Traditions All In One Piano Course, Primer B.”
The Lesson Book for Ages 10-11 is the “Bastien New Traditions All In One Piano Course, Level 1A.”
The Lesson Book for Ages 12 and up is “Bastien Piano for Adults, Book 1.”
Special Note
Please be aware that the public portion of my house is only the lesson room itself, a bathroom, and I have two chairs on my front porch. If you must bring an extra child or another person to the lessons for some reason, then they will need to be especially quiet and respectful of the lesson taking place. Ideally, a lesson should have only the teacher, the student, and a parent (if the student is younger). If there are more than three people in total, or if someone other than the student is being disruptive in any way, then they may be asked to wait outside on the front porch or in your car.
